Dunbar Village is an 83-unit, affordable housing community located in the heart of Los Angeles' historic Central Avenue jazz scene. The property is currently accepting applications for the waiting list.
Dunbar Village includes The Dunbar Hotel, a 41-unit, tax credit community for people 55 and over and Somerville North and South, a 42-unit, project-based Section 8 property.
The Dunbar Hotel offers studios, one and two bedroom units for people 55 and over. The Dunbar Hotel accepts Housing Choice (Section 8) and VASH vouchers. Residents enjoy access to a spacious community room with a large-screen television, laundry facilities, a gym and covered parking. Each unit features wall-to-wall carpeting, vinyl flooring, and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and stove.
Somerville North and South offers two, three and four bedroom units with no age restrictions. Somerville North and South do not accept Housing Choice (Section 8) vouchers. Both buildings feature a community room with a large-screen television, computer lab, laundry facilities, access to a playground and covered parking. Each unit features wall-to-wall carpeting, vinyl flooring, and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and stove.
Regularly scheduled activities include after-school programming, movie nights, arts & crafts, bingo and monthly parties.
