Thomas Safran and Associates recently acquired the historic Dunbar Hotel and Somerville I and II community located in south Los Angeles. All three buildings will undergo renovations to create Dunbar Village, a cohesive, mixed-use, intergenerational community.

Dunbar Village is an 83 unit senior and family community located in the heart of Central Avenue’s historic jazz scene. Together, Dunbar Village consists of 41 one bedroom units for seniors in the Dunbar Hotel and 42 two, three, and four bedroom units for families at Somerville I and II. Each unit includes wall-to-wall carpeting, vinyl flooring, and kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and stove.

Both Somerville I and II will feature a community room with a large-screen television and computers. Resident activities include after-school programming, movie nights, arts & crafts, bingo and monthly birthday parties.
